Terms of service
These terms cover use of The Goods Desk website and our sourcing service. By submitting a request or creating an Account, you agree to them.
The service
The Goods Desk is a personal sourcing desk. You may browse the catalog or send an off-catalog request. We work to source the piece, perform a quality check, assist with customs documentation, and arrange door-to-door delivery. Availability, lead times, and final costs are confirmed after we review your request — catalog prices and shipping estimates are guides, not a locked checkout total.
No online payment on this site
This website does not charge your card. Submitting a bag checkout or a sourcing request is a request for service, not a completed purchase. When a quote or invoice is ready, you approve it and pay offline by the method we provide. Until then, nothing is due on the site.
Your responsibilities
- Provide accurate contact, shipping, and request details
- Respond promptly when we need confirmation
- Review quotes and invoices before paying
- Use the site for lawful personal or business sourcing only
Sourcing, QC, and delivery
We purchase from suppliers on your behalf, inspect before international ship when the order calls for it, and coordinate packing, customs support, and freight. Duties, taxes, or carrier fees may apply and will be called out when we know them. Tracking appears in Account when a carrier number is available.
Changes and cancellations
Email us early if you need to change or cancel a request. Once we have purchased, packed, or handed a shipment to a carrier, changes may no longer be possible. We will say so clearly.
Accounts
If you create an Account, keep your credentials secure and use the same email you place requests with so matching orders appear. Demo accounts, when offered, are for preview only.
Limitation of liability
We work carefully, but sourcing depends on supplier stock, inspection findings, customs, and carriers. To the fullest extent allowed by law, The Goods Desk is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for delays outside our reasonable control. Our responsibility for a given request is limited to the amounts you paid us for that request.
